Yup, when I got back from Hourglass Cosmetics headquarters in Venice Beach this afternoon, I arrived home to find a furrious feline employer demanding immediate lurvies.

Gimme kisses, adult female!

Tabs didn't even inquire how the trip went! — not even after a deep-tissue scruff massage and ten minutes of rigorous mentum and jaw scratching.

Rude.

If he'd asked, I would've told him all about the ballsy coral lip combo I discovered last night (more than on this in a sec) while learning most the new Hourglass Femme Nude Lip Stylo line at the company's offices.

The six new Femme Nude Lip Stylos ($thirty each)

The line of recently released full-coverage twist-upwardly retractable lip pencils comes in vi nude shades (a nude for every mood) for $xxx each, available now on sephora.com and hourglass.com, and coming to Sephora and Barneys New York stores in mid-Baronial.

In case you lot were wondering, yes, I think these would go quite well with smokey optics and grocery shopping (Trader Joe'southward, anyone?). 🙂

Hither's what happened: when I walked into the Hourglass offices terminal night, I was wearing Hourglass Opaque Rouge Lipstick in Muse, a bright reddish coral that by itself looks pretty darned striking, but while I was there, one of the Hourglass makeup artists touched up my makeup and showed me a couple of cool tricks.

She applied the peachy pink blush from the Illume Creme-to-Pulverization Duo ($40) on my cheeks earlier buffing lavender pink Mood Ambient Lighting Powder on top to give my peel a candlelit pinkish glow.

She too patted a fleck of Illusion Tinted Moisturizer ($55; my shade'south Warm Beige) nether my eyes and around my mouth to downplay my fine lines.

And it worked pretty well! I'll definitely be calculation this one to my repertoire for a while.

Who'due south that brusque gal next to Carisa Janes, CEO and Founder of Hourglass Cosmetics?

Oh, but the lips? She took 'em to new heights by adding a layer of Farthermost Sheen Loftier Smoothen Lipgloss in Nectar ($28), a vivid creamy coral, on top of the Muse Opaque Rouge Lipstick ($28) I was already wearing.

All dark long (or rather, until I conked out in my hotel room at ten:30), people kept stopping to ask me what I was wearing on my lips. If yous like bright, shiny coral lips that last, you've gotta try the Muse/Nectar combo, ASAP!

In other news…I'm pooped. Fifty-fifty quick one-day trips are exhausting.

But I'll be domicile all adjacent week, and I'yard looking forward to it. I can't even brainstorm to tell you how excited I am about that. 🙂
