Advanced SABnzb set up? How to autodownload nzb's that match in an rss feed?
Hey, I know a lot of you guys are using SABnzb as I read about it on here. I have been using it for a while and it is great.
Anyone have a step by step on how to set it up to autodownload with sites like nzbmatrix. I really like Nzbsrus but it doesn't look like it is supported since it requires authentication.... unless there is a work around on that?

to get sabnzbd+ to work with nzbmatrix, generate your nzbmatrix API key on their website, then open sabnzbd+, click config -> index sites. the lower two fields will let you put in your username and API key, then double click your nzb files like normal.

Create one or more feeds from this page: http://rss.nzbmatrix.com/ per above, you need a username and API key.
In the sabnzb menu, select RSS and paste your new feed into the New Feed URL and hit the Add button.
Finally, use the boxes to create Accept/Reject criteria for your filters e.g. Accept *CSI*S11*720p*, select a Category (tv) and a mode (default), then press Save. Keep adding filters for new shows as you like.
Using the above, I use two feeds; one for HD/720p/MKV and one for HDTV/avi files, then I have a bunch of shows I'm filtering each feed to catch.
BTW, the Prevent Duplicate Downloads confg switch doesn't seem to work. To conserve bandwidth, I leave sabnzb in Pause mode, where it still picks up the rss feeds and I have a list of shows every morning. I simply delete any duplicates from the list and hit Resume to download everything that matched my filter. Once done, I put sabnzb back into pause mode via an automatic shedule event.

Take a look at SickBeard for your TV downloads. It keeps track of downloads so you don't get duplicates plus a lot more. Works with Sabnzbd.

Thanks for the Sickbeard suggestion, glad it works as advertised because I came across it after some more googling so I will check that out..
Thanks also for step by step on setting up with NZBmatrix. I am pretty sure that is what I did, but, now that I think of it... maybe Sabnzb wasn't running in the background... I guess I am going to have to force it to run all of the time... I will double check that and try out Sickbeard too.. Sounds really interesting!

Can you guys trying SickBeard pls post back w/ updates?
I like the idea, but it seems like a lot of effort (4 or 5 installs) for a small supplement to the post-processing that sabnzb can already do. Perhaps I'm missing something

It's one install for Sick Beard.. Atleast for my Windows machine it was... Importing all your TV shows is abit tedious, but got it done and checked it this morning and it looked like it downloaded Simpsons HD at 2:56AM heh
